Kim joined RMS in 2012 as a lead primary teacher. She received her AMS Early Childhood (3-6 years) certification from the Montessori Teacher Training Institute in Clemson, SC, and holds a BS from West Virginia University. Kim brings strength in leadership and program design in her role. She is excited to begin a new chapter joining our leadership team and overseeing our after-school and summer programming. Outside of school, Kim enjoys gardening and learning about native plants. She enjoys spending time with her dogs and cats and working in her yard. Kim is a lifelong learner and loves to listen to podcasts and books on tape about health and spirituality, especially when working in her yard. Some of her favorite areas in the classroom are teaching children to read and instilling in them a love and respect for the natural world.
